When did I become that crazy cat lady?

When did I become the crazy cat lady? In between essays and deadlines and looking for employment I became the crazy cat lady. I want to make it clear here that I am not particularly fond of cats. Don't get me wrong I enjoy cats as much I enjoy dogs. Therefore this is not coming from "team dog lovers" nor am I coming from the "team cat lovers" either. Personally I find cats to be emotionally distant and a little selfish therefore it confuses me that people stereotype that lonely single ladies will be fond of cats because of the companionship. To this I ask, what companionship? Have you ever met a cat before? Busy people should invest in cats, that way they enjoy casual affairs without real emotional attachment.

Here lies my problem, in part, how can someone like myself who is not particularly fond of cats become the crazy cat lady? Well, it less about the cats and more about the lifestyle in which I have adopted with such vigour. I now have time to cook a rather non-nutritious and high fat breakfast with time to drink several cups of tea. Followed by the perusing of the daily classified. But for me what sealed the deal was my anticipation for the catalogues for weekly savings at the local supermarkets. When did I age a few years? I seem to have forgone the life experiences that that come with age and gone straight to being simply old. I even see the first few signs of ageing with my dislike for new technology, especially my dislike for tablets! And my fondness for human interaction outside of the social media world. I might as well apply for retirement.

More and more I find myself pining over cute pictures of animals, particularly cats. I have seem to have accumulated an unhealthy collection of cute animal pictures, ranging from bouncy bunnies to playful puppies. And a plethora of pictures of sad looking cats. I haven't quite developed the full-blown insanity and invested in cats...just yet but who knows what the future holds.

SIDE NOTE: This was a simply a joke post, I have nothing against cats, dogs, cat-lovers, dog-lovers, the elderly, bunnies or any other group of people/animal I have alienated with this post.
